Since the 1980s Kate has held an annual open day in her London Balls Pond Studio. The open studio is a chance to bring together local ceramic artists and the community, offering her assistants the opportunity to showcase their creations and visitors the chance to purchase smaller pieces from Kate.

Owing to Kate’s increasing charity commitments with FiredUP4, the Christmas Open Studios will now move to a biennial programme, with the next Open Studio taking place in early December 2027.
